First off I have to say that Maine last weekend from friday to sun was the most adventurous/fun/dangerous trip that I have ever gone on. It was a eight hour drive there and eight hours back and of course since me and miry don't drive yet my brother had to drive the the total of 16 hours. I'll write as I said everything in detail Friday~ I didnt go to school so that I would get my work done ahead of time cuz we would be coming back tired sun night. We left the house at 6ish and got there 2a.m. Of course the workers there were sleeping at that time and we couldnt find where our room was at the lodge so basically we went into any building that had the door opened and we went in and found any room and slept there till next morning. It's ok we paid for a room we were just not in the right one. Sat~ we went white water rafting!!! From the campsite we were driven to the top of the Kennebec river where the dam was. The river gets it water power from all the pressure of water squeezing out from the dam in a small pipe. My brother, miry and I were in the same boat of course. So there are 5 types of rapids, class 1 to class 5, and class 5 being the strongest. So while we were rafting we hit the class 4, my brother who was in front got hit with a lot of water but the rest of us were fine. I was thinking hmm class 4 wasnt too bad, wat can class 5 do? boy was i wrong, our boat hit the class 5 wave to the left and our boat flipped. My brother and I was on the same side, my brother first fell in, then a lady across from me the right side flew and knocked me in the water. There nothing that hold you onto the raft, you basically put ure feet in crevices and balance and hope to not fall off. So i was swimming in the water and the rapids are sooo strong that if you swimming for 5 secs your already 10 feet away from the boat. My brother grabbed the lady and then grabbed me to keep us together. The lady WAS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, SHE WASN"T SWIMMING AT ALL SHE WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO SAVE HER, which was basically what my brother was doing. SO as we tried to swim toward the raft, they threw the rope and i grabbed it then my brother and the lady. My sister also fell in but she was close enough to the boat to climb back in. Thank God that all 7 of us on the boat got back in, in the time of 2-3minutes. We also luckily got to reach our paddles that fell in the water. Honestly I did not realize that it was dangerous until after the class 5 when i fell in, i had that one sec panic that I thought I was gonna die, but then i regained focus and swam. But it was after i fell in that I really enjoyed the rafting, its that risk of danger that makes it fun. 5 minutes after we all got back on the boat it began to THUNDERSTORM! rain pelting, thunder lighting, but lasted for about only 10 minutes then it became beautiful. I thought I did it all that I can see and do on the trip but it wasn't, my guide all of a sudden said "DUCK!" We all layed flat on the boat as branches passed 5 inches from our faces. Out boat suddenly became too close to the shore and there were trees that overhung the river, WOW we were so lucky. It was an adrenaline rush, the whole rescue thing, the rain feeling like in the navy, and then split second action of lying on the raft. It was in total a 3 and a half hour ride. It was beautiful at the end of the river, very peaceful and sunny. We took a nap afterwards since we were tired then we went to a restaurant to go eat, and we were the only people in the restaurant because people in Maine dont really eat late and many people went back to school and work after labor day. We took off the next morning, Sunday, a beautiful day, i missed church i see jcp so little these days and im starting hakgwon this friday poo. anyways so it was a great trip!!!! my brother said rafting was worth 16 hour drive, which it sure was now pics~!!! haha miry waking up in the morning
our lodge that looks over the river

yes people say we dont look alike

it so pretty there
miry the sleepyhead, shes the first one knocked out and last one to wake up!

in our swimming gear which has to be polypro or wetsuit or fleece to keep you warm on the river
hahaha my brother's fake smile
at the restaurant after rafting, we couldnt take pics while rafting
i think this is the fork at the end of the river where the water is very calm, which i took on the way home
last pic before we left Maine and I'm the hat I won at the lodge for answering the question right for the colors of the rafting company, which is the only souvenier we have of Maine, :(
